South Peace BLT Society
The South Peace Building Learning Together (BLT) Society oversees the Kiwanis Early Learning Hub which houses an indoor playground for families with children birth to five years old, located at #200 10808 – 15th Street (via Sam Wilson Way). The BLT serves as the early years table for community organizations in Dawson Creek, Chetwynd and Tumbler Ridge.
The Society oversees programming giving parents/caregivers of babies, toddlers and preschool children an opportunity for interactive exploration and discovery. The BLT supports parents in their role as first and primary educators of their children through quality interactive purposeful play experiences, and through Parenting the Positive Discipline Way sessions. This initiative directly provides families with tools – interactive, educational, social, and emotional opportunities that help strengthen the “family unit”.
