The South Peace Community Arts Council was formed in 1969 as an umbrella organization to help coordinate the work of the cultural groups within the City of Dawson Creek and surrounding area. It has been designed to stimulate and encourage the development of cultural projects and activities as well as foster an interest and pride in the cultural heritage of our community. The Arts Council provides assistance with the creative work of its members via collaboration and exchange of contacts and knowledge to aid in the production of successful artistic endeavors. We currently have 12 member groups who serve our community.
