The Dawson Creek Film Committee was formed in 2003 as a partnership between the Dawson Creek Art Gallery, the South Peace Community Arts Council, Kiwanis Performing Arts Centre, and Centre Cinema. The committee felt that by offering films featured the Toronto Film Festival or other independent films, our residents wouldn’t have to seek out the larger centres nearby to see them, therefore, boadening their cutural experience locally, supporting local businesses and giving them a sense of assurance that their community cares about providing alternate entertainment options to their citizens at large. Films are presented as part of a two part series which run late September to November (fall line up) and late January to March (Winter line up).
Our next session will begin in late September 2012.
