The next Circus North Workshop will be held April 16-20 from 4-8pm at South Peace Senior Campus Gym. Open to ages 8-18, space is limited, register at the Art Gallery at 250-782-2601. Circus North Workshop is facilitated by Green Fools Theatre Society from Calgary who employ professionally trained instructors that work in the industry, sharing their passion of their trade by teaching workshops during their spare time. They strive to reach areas that would not have the opportunity to experience a specialized youth focused activity of this calibre. Students learn to work together on skills that transcend barriers of age and gender; skills that require everyone involved to be focused and committed. Instructors are trained to work with children with various levels of development.
The workshop is an intense five day workshop where participants are exposed to various physical theatre elements including acrobatics, juggling, stilt walking, unicycle riding, costuming, wire walking and interactive clowning. It all wraps up with a final performance which is open to family, friends and the citizens in our community which showcases the skills they acquired in the workshop. Loaded with fun and excitement for all participants!
