About Us

The South Peace Community Arts Council was formed in 1969 as an umbrella organization to help coordinate the work of the cultural groups within the City of Dawson Creek .  It has been designed to stimulate and encourage the development of cultural projects and activities as well as foster an interest and pride in the cultural heritage of our community. By supporting and nurturing ongoing programs, the council fund raises and disperses over $11,000 worth of annual “grants in aid” to provide assistance with the creative work of its members.
